Lindsey Hockel, M.S., CCC-SLP

Lindsey Hockel, M.S., CCC-SLP joined Monkey Mouths in January 2016, where she completed her Clinical Fellowship under the supervision of Megan Sordini and Patricia Gurinsky. Lindsey holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Texas Christian University, as well as a Master of Science in Communication Disorders from the University of Texas at Dallas.

 

Lindsey is trained in the Sound Card System, PROMPT Therapy, Talk Tools Oral-Motor Placement Therapy, Nancy Kaufman Apraxia System, Lori Overland Sensory-Motor Feeding Therapy, and CPR. She has also pursued training in feeding dynamics with Ellyn Satter and Neuro Dynamic Therapies with Patsy Tate.

 

Lindsey loves connecting with the families she serves and believes that effective communication is power- with it comes increased self esteem and improved quality of life for the whole family. In her spare time, she enjoys staying organized, being creative, and cheering for the TCU horned frogs.

Monkey Mouths is dedicated to alleviating injustice at the local, national and international levels. In addition to regular support of many local charities, beginning May 1, 2011, Monkey Mouths will donate a portion of all income to the International Justice Mission (IJM) IJM is a human rights agency that secures justice for children who are victims of slavery, sexual exploitation and other forms of violent oppression.
