A bone anchored hearing system (BAHS) is a type of hearing device that helps you hear by sending sound vibrations directly to the inner ear through the bones of the skull. This device can be worn on a headband, however if recommended as a long-term hearing solution, a tiny titanium implant is utilized for ease of use and clearer sound. This type of hearing device can be beneficial for those with certain types of hearing loss, such as single-sided deafness (SSD), or those with chronic middle ear problems.
