Foster Ellis, M.S., CCC-SLP

Speech-Language Pathologist

Team Member Bio

I’m Foster Ellis, M.S., CCC-SLP, and I joined Monkey Mouths in 2025 as a speech-language pathologist. I earned my undergraduate degree from University of Arkansas and my master’s degree from University of Texas at Dallas. Prior to Monkey Mouths, I worked in private practice.

As a therapist, I work to build strong relationships with both the child and the family to encourage growth across all contexts. My approach to therapy emphasizes the importance of play for language development, as children learn through playing! I pride myself on connecting with my clients individually and leveraging their individual strengths and interests to encourage progress in their goals. The heart of communication is relationships, and my approach to therapy emphasizes strong rapport to encourage growth in each child. I strive to make therapy a fun, inviting space where relationships are built and goals are achieved.

In my spare time I enjoy spending time outside, cooking, reading, exercising.

As an SLP since 2023, I have training and specialization in the following:

  • Assessment and intervention strategies using the DIR/Floor time approach
  • Communication, Language, and Speech through a DIR Lens
  • DIR 101:  An Introduction to DIR and DIRFloortime
