I’m Hannah Maxey, OTD, OTR and I joined Monkey Mouths in 2025 as an occupational therapist. I earned my undergraduate degree at Texas A&M University and my doctoral degree in occupational therapy (OTD) at the University of Texas Medical Branch. Prior to Monkey Mouths, I have experience in private practice.
I’m passionate about fostering a client-centered and flexible treatment environment for the clients I work with, as well as having continuous communication with families. Building rapport and maintaining a balance between work and play is important to me to encourage participation while ensuring a productive treatment session. I always try to incorporate new activities and tailor treatment sessions to the child’s interests and needs in order to provide the best outcomes for the child. I want each child to feel loved, be actively engaged, and have fun!
In my free time, I love spending time with my dog and cat, being outdoors, and playing board games!
