Team Member Bio

I’m Jaime Bailey, M.S., CCC-SLP, and I joined Monkey Mouths in 2024 as a speech-language pathologist. I serve as the Assistant Clinical Director at our Summer Creek clinic. I earned my undergraduate degree from Western Kentucky University and my master’s degree from University of North Texas. Prior to Monkey Mouths, I worked in home health, private practice, and schools.

I believe that success in speech therapy is dependent on consistent speech therapy sessions, strong parent/family involvement at home and exposure to opportunities to use language skills. Consistency in therapy sessions is so important so each goal can be targeted and progress can continue to be made, building on that progress each session. Strong parent and family involvement is paramount to success because children are with their parents and family the majority of their day. These are their most immediate communication partners. Practice at home also builds consistency away from the speech therapy session. Exposure to opportunities to use language skills is necessary for carryover of language progress. Communication is used in every situation we are in all day long, children need plenty of opportunities to interact and practice new skills with new communication partners and in new settings.

In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my husband and two boys, reading books, traveling and shopping.
