Speech-Language Pathologist, Assistant Clinical Director in Hurst

Team Member Bio

I’m Katherine (Katie) Rose, M.S., CCC-SLP, and I joined Monkey Mouths in 2025 as a speech-language pathologist. I earned my undergraduate degree from Texas Christian University and my master’s degree from the University of Alabama. Prior to joining Monkey Mouths, I gained experience in private practice and school settings.

Child-led therapy is my favorite approach to use across all ages. For my littles, following their lead allows for greater engagement and intrinsic motivation, while for my older patients, it fosters buy-in and a stronger sense of ownership in therapy. I always strive to take a whole-child approach, using my knowledge of other disciplines and small techniques I can implement to help each child excel.

In my spare time, I enjoy baking, reading, taking my dog to the park, and spending time with my husband and our families—usually while watching TCU football or the LA Chargers!

Since becoming an SLP in 2019, I have received training and specialization in the following:

Apraxia/Articulation:

  • PROMPT Therapy
  • PROMPT Therapy/Advanced PROMPT Bridging

Feeding:

  • Sequential Oral Sensory Feeding Program
  • Deborah Beckman M.S., CCC-SLP Oral-Motor Therapy

Language:

  • Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS)
