I’m Michaela Roberts, M.S., CCC-SLP, and I joined Monkey Mouths in 2025 as a speech language pathologist. I earned my undergraduate degree from Hardin-Simmons University and my master’s degree from Abilene Christian University in Addison. Prior to Monkey Mouths, I worked in schools, skilled nursing facilities, and pediatric outpatient clinics.
Play, play, and more play. I love incorporating play in all my therapy sessions. My role is to teach how important and powerful play can be. Children learn best through play. I also love incorporating the family into my sessions. My aim for therapy is to make it purposeful, natural, and useful in order to provide parent education and demonstration to create carryover into their home environment.
When I am not at Monkey Mouths, you can find me spending time with my husband, Matt and our black Labrador retriever, Mikey. I enjoy eating, reading, running, and spending time outside.
