Hi, I’m Shanielle Sum, M.S., CCC-SLP. I’ve been a certified speech-language pathologist since 2020 and work at the Coppell clinic. I earned my undergraduate degree from Harding University and my master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of North Texas. I have experience working in both private practice and school settings.
My philosophy for the therapy process is to empower clients and their families to meet their goals and confidently use their communication skills at home and in their community. I focus on identifying the communication skills that will have the greatest impact on daily life and incorporate natural learning and play-based opportunities, paired with a variety of therapy techniques, to support progress toward functional communication.
Outside of the clinic, I love being outdoors in the fresh air and nature, listening to and playing musical instruments, and staying active with my Valley Creek Church family!
