I’m Shelby Freeman, M.S., CCC-SLP, and I joined Monkey Mouths in 2025 as a speech-language pathologist. I earned my undergraduate degree from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center and my master’s degree from Abilene Christian University. Prior to Monkey Mouths, I worked in private practice.
My therapy style is centered on play-based intervention and naturalistic learning. I believe that children make the most meaningful progress when therapy is engaging, functional, and rooted in their everyday experiences. My sessions are designed to feel like play while targeting individualized goals in communication, speech, and language development. I value collaboration with families and other professionals to create a holistic, child-centered approach. By building strong, trusting relationships and following each child’s lead, I help foster confident communication skills that generalize across home, school, and social settings.
In my spare time, I love staying active by going for runs, working out, diving into a good book, shopping and spending quality time with friends.
