Bottle Feeding

Feeding your baby should be a positive bonding experience for both you and your little one. However, sometimes eating does not develop as easily and naturally as expected. At Monkey Mouths our team of feeding specialists will use a comprehensive approach to evaluate your child’s oral motor skills, positioning, feeding schedule, and other medical concerns to determine the cause of the feeding difficulty. We will then collaborate with you, and other members of your medical team, to create an evidence-based care plan so that your baby can easily enjoy eating. If your child exhibits any of the following signs and symptoms while feeding with a bottle, feeding therapy would be beneficial:

Introduction to Solids

The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends gradually introducing complementary solids to your baby around 6 months of age. Although this can be quite a learning experience for both you and your little one, it can be challenging if your baby is facing difficulties with this transition. At Monkey Mouths, our skilled feeding therapists can guide you through this stage by assessing your child’s oral motor skills, feeding history, family mealtime dynamics, gross and fine motor skills, and other medical concerns. We look forward to partnering with you to create a plan of care to make mealtimes more enjoyable.
