CONNECTIONS

Monkey Mouths MonkeyU Group Therapy

connections

CONNECTIONS is led by our skilled therapists — including a speech-language pathologist and an occupational therapist — who have received training in the DIR® Model. The program is also supported by graduate students in the fields of speech-language pathology and occupational therapy. Parents or caregivers are required to remain on the property during group sessions to ensure safety and accessibility for any needs that may arise.

The foundations of CONNECTIONS are supported by research:

  • Almost all learning occurs in a relationship.
  • The ability to enjoy and participate in relationships is pivotal for relating to others, experiencing positive self-esteem, and developing healthy coping strategies.
  • Relationships provide the foundation for communication.
  • The meaning of gestures, words, and concepts are learned as part of interactive and affective relationships early in life.
  • Connections offers a 1:1 clinician to child ratio to ensure your child gets individualized support toward their goals.
