I’m Emi Higgins, M.S., SLP Intern, and I joined Monkey Mouths in 2023 as a speech-language pathologist intern under the supervision of Ashley Harris, M.S., CCC-SLP. I earned my undergraduate and master's degrees from Texas Christian University. Prior to Monkey Mouths, my experience included working in pediatric outpatient hospitals, in-patient hospitals, and university clinic settings.

I believe treatment is most successful when therapy is functional and tailored to meet the needs of each family and child! I am passionate about working alongside families to help facilitate positive change, and I know that all change - even when it’s good, can be hard. Families are the driving force of change, and as the SLP I get to show them the tools to make the transformation!

In my free time, I love spending time with family and friends, cheering on the Horned Frogs, or cooking a good meal! On the weekends, you can find me outdoors running, playing pickle ball, or trying a new restaurant patio in Fort Worth.
