I’m Denise Cardenas, M.S., CCC-SLP, and I joined Monkey Mouths in 2023 as a bilingual speech-language pathologist. I earned my undergraduate degree from Texas Womans University and my master's degree from the University of Texas at Dallas. Prior to Monkey Mouths, my experience included working in school settings.

I believe in the importance of story telling. Story books are important for therapy so that children can learn about the world and tell their own story to others. I believe everyone deserves a voice and a chance to tell their story.

In my spare time I enjoy going out dancing, trying new foods and restaurants and travelling.
