Avery Swaringen M.S., CCC-SLP
Provider Type: Speech-Language Pathologist
I’m Avery Swaringen, M.S., CCC-SLP and I joined Monkey Mouths in 2022. I earned my undergraduate and master’s degrees from Baylor University. Prior to Monkey Mouths, I worked in a private practice and early childhood school setting.
I believe speech therapy should be fun and engaging! I meet each child where they are and plan treatment based on their needs and interests. Collaborating with families and providing them with the resources to help their child reach their goals is also an important part of what I do. I am passionate about providing children with strategies and skills to be the best communicators they can be.
In my spare time I enjoy reading, decorating cookies, and cheering on the Texas Rangers and Baylor Bears! I also love spending time with my husband and dog, Chewie.
As an SLP since 2015, I have training and specialization in the following:
- Hodson Approach to Phonological Disorders
- Kaufman Apraxia System
- Sequential Oral Sensory Feeding Program Training
- Social Thinking with Michelle Garcia Winner M.S., CCC-SLP
- Preschool Fluency Training
- PECS
- Sound Card System
- Kaufman Apraxia System
- Monkey Mouths Deaf and Hard of Hearing (D/HH) Team
